Salmon Cake Recipe

This salmon cake recipe is both easy and delicious. In the video you will see that I use leftover salmon that I had prepared on my smoker.

If you don't have it smoked, you can use leftover grilled or canned salmon.

I made one mistake in the video that I encourage you not to make if you want this dish to reach its full culinary potential. I added the onion and garlic without sauteing them first.

Why did I do that? Because I didn't want to go through the step as we were in a hurry. While the end result was delicious, they would have been even better with the sweetness of the onion and garlic released when slightly caramelized.

I am a real believer is sweating or caramelizing onion and garlic to soften the flavor and bring out the sweetness.

Salmon Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lbs. of Smoked Salmon
  • 4 to 5 Chopped Green Onions
  • 4 tablespoons of Poultry Seasoning
  • 4 1/2 Cup of Bread Crumbs
  • 3 Eggs. (I misspoke in the video)
  • 3 teaspoons of minced garlic
  • 2 tablespoons of Chopped Parsley
  • Butter and Olive Oil for Cooking.
